Staging the Unspeakable
3 female artists · 3 performances · 1 goal
Staging the Unspeakable is a multidisciplinary theatrical cycle supported by Kondomeriet Holstebro and developed by three women artists — Gracia Ríos, Karoline Banke, and Giovanna Zanchetta — who use clowning, cabaret, and dance to confront silenced realities surrounding female sexuality, gender-based violence, and bodily autonomy.
Rather than presenting didactic narratives, the three performances create space for emotional resonance, critical reflection, and collective dialogue. Each piece addresses taboo subjects often missing from mainstream discourse: from the challenges facing contemporary sex education to the trauma of genital mutilation, the politics of abortion, and the ecofeminist connection between the body and the Earth.
Each performance is framed within a curated structure led by the artists, including post-show talks, participatory workshops, and community events—all designed to foster safe, inclusive, and transformative spaces. Audiences are invited to engage deeply with themes such as consent, gender inequality, body politics, and female pleasure, linking artistic expression to social action.
Through bold performance and collective conversation, Staging the Unspeakable not only seeks to challenge taboos, but also to build community, inspire agency, and reclaim silenced narratives through creative practice.

Pride Booster
Connecting Prides. Empowering Communities.
Pride Booster is a cross-border initiative aimed at strengthening and connecting rural LGBTQ+ organizations and communities across Scandinavia. In partnership with Holstebro Pride and supported by the EU Kulturbooster programme, the project promotes visibility, solidarity, and empowerment in regions where queer voices are often overlooked.
Through a combination of artistic collaborations, workshops, and community events, Pride Booster works to build self-sustaining networks among local Prides and to foster inclusive cultural development. At the same time, the initiative is committed to creating opportunities for emerging and underrepresented queer artists, supporting creative expressions that challenge norms and inspire change.
Pride Booster seeks to highlight the power of culture as a tool for inclusion. It also supports local LGBTQ+ institutions by providing them with the resources needed to continue their work in rural areas—ensuring that queer communities can feel represented and included not only in big cities, but everywhere.
